As a Talent Sourcer - Temporary, you will join the recruiting team to build talent pipelines for technically demanding roles across Engineering, Manufacturing, and Operations. You will proactively source passive candidates using X, LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search, GitHub, niche technical forums, and AI-powered sourcing tools. Your daily responsibilities include partnering with recruiters and hiring managers to refine strategies, conducting initial candidate outreach and phone screens, and tracking sourcing metrics and pipeline health. To succeed, you must possess strong Boolean and X-ray search skills, familiarity with ATS platforms, and the ability to distinguish top talent within technical fields. You will represent the company's mission while navigating complex requirements for engineering and hardware roles. This role requires a high degree of autonomy and professional communication to engage candidates who want to help make life multiplanetary.
Proactively source passive candidates using LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search, GitHub, and niche technical forums.
Build and maintain talent pipelines for high-demand engineering, manufacturing, and operations roles.
Utilize AI-powered sourcing and research tools to improve pipeline speed and quality.
Partner with recruiters and hiring managers to define role requirements and refine sourcing strategies.
Conduct initial candidate outreach and phone screens to evaluate interest and qualifications.
Track and report sourcing metrics and pipeline health data to internal teams.
Represent SpaceX mission and culture to prospective candidates during the recruitment process.
Monitor market trends, competitor talent pools, and compensation benchmarks.
What we're looking for
Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree and 1+ years of recruiting experience, an Associate degree and 2+ years of experience, or 3+ years of professional recruiting experience.
Preferred candidates possess at least 1 year of technical recruiting experience.
Experience sourcing for engineering, hardware, or technical manufacturing roles is preferred.
Candidates should possess strong Boolean and X-ray search skills.
Familiarity with ATS platforms and various sourcing tools is preferred.
Applicants must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to distinguish between the top 50% and the top 5% of talent in specific fields is preferred.
Candidates must meet U.S. export control requirements as a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or eligible refugee/asylee.
