The Systems Engineering Intern will join the engineering team to support the development and evaluation of complex system designs and architectures. This role involves performing operational analysis, developing concept of operations, and creating design and implementation plans. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing test plans, procedures, and cases, conducting tests while documenting results, and analyzing systems requirements from end users. The candidate will utilize software tools, scripting, and perform hardware and software troubleshooting to ensure system integrity. To succeed, the individual should possess skills in systems architecture, analysis, design, performance modeling, and project management. Preferred technical competencies include familiarity with Rhapsody and model-based systems engineering. This position focuses on solving complex technical challenges within the defense technology sector, specifically addressing mission-critical needs across space, air, land, sea, and cyber domains for national security.
Perform operational analysis and develop concept of operations, design, and implementation plans.
Develop test plans, procedures, and specific test cases.
Conduct tests and document the resulting data.
Utilize software tools, scripting, and hardware/software troubleshooting techniques.
Analyze system requirements from end systems and users.
Support the development and evaluation of complex system designs and architectures.
Deliver presentations to communicate design activity plans and status to internal and external customers.
What we're looking for
Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Aviation, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
Experience or coursework in systems engineering, architecture, analysis, design, performance modeling, integration, project management, or model-based systems engineering (preferred).
Familiarity with Rhapsody (preferred).
Must be a U.S. citizen to obtain a security clearance.
