What you'll do

Build and operate microservices and REST APIs that power the tag-api platform.
Design and implement API endpoints while defining data models and writing migrations.
Develop service-layer logic to handle validation, quota enforcement, and concurrency control.
Scale the platform to support high-throughput bulk operations for thousands of resources per request.
Manage PostgreSQL databases including schema design, query optimization, and replication patterns.
Collaborate with internal teams to onboard resources and integrate their products with your APIs.
Navigate distributed systems trade-offs such as consistency models and event-driven replication.

What we're looking for

Must have at least 3 years of professional software engineering experience building production systems at scale.
Proficiency in the Go programming language is required.
Experience designing and building REST APIs including routing, authentication, and request lifecycle management.
Proficiency with PostgreSQL for schema design, migrations, query optimization, and replication patterns.
Ability to navigate ambiguity and communicate technical tradeoffs clearly to drive alignment across teams.
Knowledge of distributed systems trade-offs such as consistency models and event-driven replication.
Authorization to receive software or technology controlled under U.S. export control laws.
