The Systems Engineer & Manager joins the Service Center West Operations Team to maintain service availability for multiple servers in main data centers and remote locations globally. This role involves managing infrastructure functionality, security, and efficiency while performing tasks such as applying DISA STIG settings, patching systems, provisioning accounts, and creating technical documentation. The position includes people management responsibilities, mentoring team members, and developing policies for complex builds. Candidates should possess expertise in PowerShell scripting, Desired State Configuration, and Agile or ITIL practices. Manage the functionality, efficiency, and security of global infrastructure providing critical services to customers.
Apply DISA STIG settings and patch operating systems and applications as required.
Provision elevated and service accounts for system access.
Create and maintain comprehensive system documentation.
Write and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate administrative tasks.
Develop policies and standards for complex builds and daily operational tasks.
Manage the workload and performance of a small team as a people manager.
Recommend architectural changes for hardware and software to adapt to emerging technologies.
What we're looking for
Must be a United States citizen.
Must possess and maintain a Top Secret/SCI clearance.
Bachelor's degree required, or equivalent additional years of experience.
5+ years of related experience required.
Experience with Windows infrastructure services including DHCP, DNS, Authentication, Active Directory, and connectivity troubleshooting.
Experience with infrastructure including data center operations, server hardware, operating systems (Windows, Linux), web servers, databases, virtualization (VMware), networking, and storage.
Must meet DoW 8570 requirements and be eligible for IAT level II access; must obtain ITIL V4 Foundation within six months of hire.
