As a Systems Engineer 5 on the Etch Product Group System Engineering team, you will serve as a technical leader responsible for system-level architecture and the integration of complex semiconductor process modules. What you'll do

  • Own the end-to-end system architecture and hardware specifications for the Etch Process Module.
  • Manage the full requirements lifecycle including stakeholder capture, decomposition, allocation, and verification closure.
  • Define subsystem interfaces to ensure architectural integrity across mechanical, electrical, RF, controls, and software components.
  • Develop high-level BOM structures and core engineering documentation based on product requirements.
  • Create system and assembly cost models while estimating the impact of new technologies.
  • Lead a cross-functional team of over 20 engineers to drive design decisions and trade studies.
  • Resolve complex system-level issues through cross-disciplinary troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
  • Review and approve critical technical documents including FMEAs and test plans to ensure performance targets are met.

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 12 years of experience with a Bachelor's degree in EE, ME, or a related engineering/science discipline.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience with a Master's degree in a relevant engineering or science field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with a PhD in a relevant engineering or science field.
  • Proven track record as a Senior Hardware Design Engineer with broad ownership across multiple subsystems or an entire product.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence a cross-disciplinary team of over 20 engineers without direct reporting authority.
  • Experience managing the full lifecycle of complex, multi-disciplinary hardware products from concept through sustaining.
  • Expertise in system architecture, requirements lifecycle management, and technical trade studies for capital equipment.
  • Ability to deliver cost-aligned designs while resolving trade-offs under aggressive program schedules.
