The Systems Analyst Advisor joins the IT Business Systems Solutions Planning team to define and manage the scope of Business Systems projects. This role involves defining functional, usability, reliability, performance, and support requirements while bridging the gap between technical solutions and business needs. Key responsibilities include creating and performing feature testing, developing use cases, and providing expert consultation on complex data analysis and reporting. The successful candidate will utilize SQL, relational databases like MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, and Oracle Database, along with tools such as Snowflake, Thoughtspot, and Teradata SQL Assistant. The position requires deep domain knowledge in healthcare business operations, including EDI X12 Transactions, Facets, and Claims and Encounters. You will mentor others, perform functionality estimates, and identify future system enhancements to ensure business area satisfaction.
Define and manage the scope of Business Systems projects.
Define functional, usability, reliability, performance, and support requirements for systems.
Create and perform feature testing and determine environmental needs.
Develop use cases and bridge the gap between technical and business requirements.
Perform complex data analysis and reporting to provide guidance to other analysts.
Provide analytic consultation to leadership, business areas, and external customers.
Mentor and assist the IT learning organization with training initiatives and functionality estimates.
Proactively identify future system opportunities and enhancements with stakeholders.
What we're looking for
Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Management Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field.
Must have six years of experience in related occupations.
A Master’s degree in a related field and four years of experience is accepted as an alternate education requirement.
Must have experience with relational databases including MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, and Oracle Database.
Must have experience with SQL, Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio, Teradata SQL Assistant, Snowflake, and Thoughtspot.
Must have experience with EDI X12 Transactions, Facets, Claims, Encounters, and healthcare business operations.
Must have the ability to manipulate large sets of data and document requirements or build test cases.
Must be able to report to the Richmond, VA location at least 1-2 days per week.
