JOB TITLE: Systems Administrator - Level 4 Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Systems Administrator - Level 2 or 3 to join the team at Buckley Space Force Base. In this role, you will perform as a Linux Systems Administrator on large, classified government contracts. Your daily responsibilities include maintaining multi-user computer systems, supporting multiple networks, and ensuring smooth operations through coordination with network and software engineers. You will analyze customer requirements to determine hardware and software solutions, perform quarterly security patch updates on virtual machines, and manage user accounts and file permissions. Key technical requirements include experience with RHEL, VMware, and virtualization. You must also manage security audit logs, develop technical documentation, and ensure strict adherence to Information Systems security guidelines for classified networked and standalone computers.

What you'll do

Perform Linux systems administration on large, classified government contracts.
Maintain smooth operation of multi-user computer systems and support multiple networks.
Install, upgrade, patch, monitor, and configure systems to improve performance and reliability.
Create and maintain user accounts, file permissions, and security access lists.
Test new product releases to ensure compatibility and minimize user impact.
Develop and document technical processes, procedures, and security documentation.
Perform quarterly security patch updates on a multitude of virtual machines.
Maintain security audit logs and information for all classified networked and standalone computers.

What we're looking for

Must have a Bachelor's degree with related experience, a Master's with , a PhD with , or experience.
Must have a current/active DoD TS/SCI Security Clearance or higher at the time of application.
Must have at least 1 year of server administration experience with RHEL.
Must have a DoD 8570 IAT Level II baseline certification or the ability to obtain one within 6 months.
Must be able to lift equipment weighing up to 40 pounds.
U.S. Citizenship is required.
Knowledge and experience with VMware and virtualization.
Experience with Active Directory forests and cross-platform networks consisting of Linux, UNIX, and Windows Servers (preferred).
