TL;DR · System Integration Engineer, Vice President

System Integration Engineer, Vice President joins the Legal Technology Integrations team to design, build, and operate integrations across the legal application landscape. This role focuses on the contracting ecosystem and its data supply chain by connecting contract management SaaS platforms, master data management services, and the legal data lake to enterprise applications. The successful candidate will develop API-based, event-driven, and batch integration patterns while managing data mapping, transformation, and ETL/ELT pipelines. Key responsibilities include ensuring data quality, implementing security protocols like OAuth2 and SAML, and maintaining operational excellence through monitoring and incident triage. Technical requirements include expertise in REST, GraphQL, message queues, and schema management. The role solves the challenge of creating reliable, secure, and scalable data flows for contract lifecycle management, ensuring consistent master data across systems while meeting strict audit, compliance, and retention standards within a regulated environment.

What you'll do

  • Design, build, and maintain integrations between legal SaaS platforms and enterprise systems like MDM, identity services, and data lakes.
  • Implement diverse integration patterns including API-based, event-driven, and batch/file-based processing to move contract data reliably.
  • Develop complex data transformations and mappings to ensure consistent schema alignment across the legal data supply chain.
  • Build and operate reliable pipelines to ingest contract documents and metadata into the legal data lake for analytics and reporting.
  • Integrate legal systems with master data management services to ensure consistency of counterparty, vendor, and reference data.
  • Establish integration architecture standards including canonical data models, naming conventions, and robust error handling patterns.
  • Ensure all integrations comply with security requirements such as SSO/OAuth authentication, encryption, and audit logging.
  • Manage day-to-day operations including monitoring, alerting, incident triage, and root cause analysis for the integration layer.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • 8+ years of experience delivering enterprise integrations across SaaS and on-prem/cloud systems (preferred).
  • Experience with API design/consumption, event-based systems, ETL/ELT pipelines, and integration platforms (preferred).
  • Experience with production operations including monitoring, alerting, incident management, and root cause analysis (preferred).
  • Experience implementing secure integration practices such as secrets management, key rotation, and audit logging (preferred).
  • Ability to produce clear technical documentation including interface specs and data flow diagrams (preferred).
  • Experience integrating contract management platforms and document repositories with enterprise systems (preferred).
  • Familiarity with MDM concepts, legal contract data, or regulated industry requirements (preferred).
