System Engineer SME will join the IT Infrastructure and Operations team to provide senior-level administration and engineering support for Windows-based network systems. The position requires expertise in hybrid multi-cloud environments involving Azure and AWS, as well as experience with Cisco networking and enterprise-level backup solutions to ensure high availability and geographic redundancy for mission-critical systems.

What you'll do

  • Provide senior-level administration and engineering support for Windows-based network systems and enterprise applications.
  • Design, implement, and support Active Directory, Group Policy, Exchange, and Skype for Business environments.
  • Manage server hardware and software operations while maintaining system security and baseline configurations.
  • Perform tier 3 systems support and troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues with minimal supervision.
  • Design and configure fiber channel networks and manage storage area networking (SAN) environments.
  • Architect and maintain virtualized environments using VMware vSphere, Horizon, and Site Recovery Manager.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and performance evaluations for junior system administrators.
  • Develop and modify software programs to enhance operating system functionality and capabilities.

What we're looking for

  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Must possess an active Top Secret/SCI clearance.
  • Must be 8570 or 8140 qualified.
  • A BA/BS degree is required, though additional education, certifications, or work experience may be substituted for the degree.
  • Must have at least 10 years of total related experience.
  • Requires 4+ years of experience with Microsoft Windows Server (2016 and 2019) and 4+ years with VMware vSphere, Realize Suite, and VCF.
  • Requires 2+ years of experience each with Microsoft Exchange Server 2016, SharePoint Server 2019, Skype for Business 2019, VMware Workspace ONE, and Cisco networking.
  • ITIL Certification (preferred).
