As a System Development Engineer, Amazon Leo Builder Product Services, you will join the Amazon Leo Enterprise Technology team to provide essential tools and systems for designing, building, and operating organizational services. You will utilize skills in Linux/Unix, CI/CD pipelines, and at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, or Rust. This role solves technical challenges within a low Earth orbit satellite broadband network, ensuring high availability and operational excellence for complex engineering tools.

What you'll do

  • Design, build, and maintain infrastructure as code for hybrid-cloud Siemens engineering applications.
  • Monitor system performance to ensure uptime, scalability, and reliability of applications and infrastructure.
  • Analyze current infrastructure capacity and forecast future needs to support organizational growth.
  • Provide day-to-day support for Siemens applications on AWS and on-premise servers.
  • Automate the deployment and administration of Siemens engineering tools.
  • Define and apply standards for engineering, testing, and operational excellence best practices.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum processes including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

What we're looking for

  • Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructure.
  • Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, or Rust.
  • Experience with Linux/Unix.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and build processes.
  • Experience with distributed systems at scale (preferred).
  • Export Control.
