System Development Engineer

What you'll do

• Execute end-to-end OTA rollouts by preparing plans, configuring targeting rules, and monitoring deployments through general availability.
• Manage variant-aware rollout execution to ensure hardware-specific firmware updates are delivered in the correct sequence.
• Monitor fleet health during rollouts by tracking success rates, telemetry, and escalating anomalies via established runbooks.
• Triage deployment failures and stalled updates by diagnosing root causes like connectivity issues or firmware incompatibilities.
• Maintain and improve operational runbooks, standard operating procedures, and go/no-go decision criteria.
• Manage fleet segmentation including canary groups, beta rings, and hold-back cohorts as the fleet evolves.
• Build and maintain operational dashboards to report on rollout status, coverage, and update adoption metrics.
• Automate repetitive operational tasks using scripts for rollout preparation, health checks, and reporting.

What we're looking for

• Candidates must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, or lawfully admitted as a refugee or granted asylum.
• Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructure.
• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, or Rust.
• Experience with Linux/Unix systems.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines build processes.
• Experience with distributed systems at scale (preferred).
• Export control laws and regulations, candidates.
