System Design Engineer

What you'll do

• Design and implement custom hardware testing fixtures, firmware, and FPGA IP for new products.
• Lead the system architecture and hardware design for product testing from prototype through mass production.
• Develop custom electrical instruments, data analysis tools, and diagnostic tests to solve manufacturing challenges.
• Influence product Design for Test (DFT) by providing technical recommendations early in the development lifecycle.
• Serve as the primary technical expert for debugging and communicating system testing processes.
• Act as a liaison with Contract Manufacturers to validate test station hardware and software for production.
• Create comprehensive test plans, specify diagnostic stations, and implement parametric data collection.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Good understanding of analog, digital, and power electronics hardware architectures and design.
• Experience in schematic and PCB layout design using Allegro or a similar CAD tool.
• Ability to design and debug complex electrical schematics and PCB layouts while proposing relevant experiments.
• Strong oral and written communication skills to convey complex engineering concepts to cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to travel domestically and/or internationally up to 10% of the time.
• Working knowledge of USB 3.2, USB-PD, DisplayPort, PCIe, I2C, and SPI technologies (preferred).
• Experience with test fixtures, custom instruments, software engineering (Python, LUA, C/C++), FPGA development, or statistical analysis (preferred).
