System Administrator TS/SCI Polygraph
The System Administrator joins the Cyber & Analytics Business Area team to support a complex, fast-paced program using Scaled Agile Framework methodologies. This role involves performing daily system administration and operations for geographically distributed systems, focusing on the setup and maintenance of local site infrastructure. Key responsibilities include monitoring infrastructure systems and applications, resolving hardware and software incidents, managing information assurance vulnerability alerts (IAVAs), and conducting system security scans. The candidate will manage IT help desk interactions, provide technical assistance to partner groups, and maintain detailed documentation for incident resolution. Required skills include experience with network switches, routers, LANs, cabling, Windows/Linux operating systems, and VMware. Candidates must also possess expertise in data center design, configuration, and optimization while navigating complex environments involving security standards like PKI and vulnerability assessments to ensure continuous mission success.
Perform daily system administration and O&M support for a complex network of geographically distributed systems.
Monitor infrastructure systems, applications, and processes to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner.
Resolve hardware and software incidents impacting local users while providing technical assistance to other work groups.
Manage IT Help Desk calls and emails while communicating system outage statuses to end users.
Execute the process for managing information assurance vulnerability alerts (IAVAs) and performing system security scans.
Create and maintain technical documentation to ensure accurate information is available for incident resolution.
Perform project work to support the implementation of new IT enhancements.
What we're looking for
Must possess a TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
Must have a Bachelor's degree and 4–8 years of experience, or a Master's degree and 2–6 years of experience.
Experience may be substituted for a degree.
Must have experience working on IT/software programs involving complex systems like network switches, routers, LANs, cabling, Windows/Linux OS, and VMware.
Must have experience with data center design and configuration including rack and stack, power, and placement.
Must have experience or familiarity with IT system optimization, monitoring, and technical troubleshooting.
Must have direct, hands-on experience providing customer service in an IT or similar capacity.
Must be able to travel up to 10% of the time and report to the Annapolis Junction office monthly.
