JOB TITLE: System Administrator TS/SCI Polygraph
The System Administrator joins the Cyber & Analytics Business Area to support a complex, fast-paced program using the Scaled Agile Framework. This role involves daily system administration and O&M support for a geographically distributed network environment, with a primary focus on maintaining a site in Alexandria. Key responsibilities include monitoring infrastructure systems, resolving hardware and software incidents, managing IT help desk inquiries, and executing information assurance vulnerability alerts. The candidate will utilize enterprise monitoring solutions to identify alarms and perform system security scanning. Required technical skills include experience with network switches, routers, LANs, cabling, Windows and Linux operating systems, and VMware. Additionally, the role requires expertise in data center design, configuration, and optimization to ensure seamless network connectivity and infrastructure stability for the mission.
Perform daily system administration and O&M support for complex, geographically distributed network environments.
Monitor infrastructure systems, applications, and processes to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner.
Respond to hardware and software incidents impacting local users and handle IT help desk calls and emails.
Troubleshoot and correct hardware, software, and network connectivity issues in coordination with senior technicians.
Execute the process for managing information assurance vulnerability alerts (IAVAs) and system security scanning.
Create and maintain technical documentation to ensure accurate information is available for incident resolution.
Provide technical support for IT enhancements and project work within an agile framework.
Communicate system outage statuses and proactively notify customers of significant infrastructure delays.
What we're looking for
Must have a TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
Must have a BS and 4–8 years of relevant experience, or a Masters with 2–6 years of relevant experience.
Additional experience may be substituted for a degree.
Must have experience working on IT/software programs utilizing complex equipment like network switches, routers, LANs, cabling, Windows/Linux, and VMware.
Must have experience with Data Center design and configuration, including rack and stack, power, and placement.
Must have experience or familiarity with IT system optimization, monitoring, and technical troubleshooting.
Must have direct, hands-on experience helping users in an IT or similar customer service capacity.
Must be able to travel up to 10% of the time and report to the Annapolis Junction, MD office at least once per month.
Experience with security standards, software architectures, or network security technologies (preferred).
Experience supporting a software configuration management and development environment (preferred).
Experience working in an Agile Development Environment or on an Agile Team (preferred).
