The Mid/Senior System Administrator joins the Cyber & Analytics Business Area to support a large, complex network environment featuring geographically distributed systems and multiple air-gapped domains. The individual will maintain complex server enclaves, manage Active Directory configurations, perform patch management, and handle certificate renewals while troubleshooting hardware and software issues. Key technical requirements include proficiency with Windows Server 2016/2019, Linux systems like Red Hat 7/8, VMware, Apache Tomcat, IIS, SQL Server, and KVMs. The role also utilizes tools such as Trellix ePO, SALT, Python, PowerShell, PowerCLI, and HSMs. The work focuses on high-assurance environments involving security accreditation, multi-domain networks, and infrastructure for information sharing within the national security sector.
Provide system administration support for a large, complex network of geographically distributed systems and air-gapped environments.
Install applications, manage systems and processes, and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
Optimize server and desktop configurations to ensure reliable, continuous, and efficient operations.
Perform security management tasks including patching, certificate renewals, vulnerability assessments, and Active Directory configurations.
Maintain web-based applications for storing, sharing, and distributing information.
Identify and correct hardware and software issues while developing re-work solutions for operational problems.
Create and maintain detailed documentation of complex server and network environments for incident resolution.
Communicate with users and external personnel regarding system outages, upgrades, and recommended resolution options.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related technical field.
At least 8 years of relevant experience (additional experience may be substituted for a degree).
Substantial experience providing direct support to large groups of end users and technical staff.
At least 5 years of hands-on experience supporting Linux and Microsoft-based servers and workstations.
At least 5 years of hands-on experience with operating system and application hardening, including DISA and high-assurance environments.
At least 5 years of hands-on experience with software/hardware deployment, patch management, and system backup and restore functions.
Proficiency with Windows Server 2016, 2019, and Active Directory.
Must hold an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
