JOB TITLE: Mid/Senior System Administrator The Mid/Senior System Administrator joins the Cyber & Analytics Business Area to provide system administration support for a large, complex network environment with geographically distributed systems. This role supports system engineering requests by delivering solutions that meet operational needs, including upgrading, sustaining, and maintaining existing capabilities across multiple air-gapped systems. Key responsibilities include installing applications, optimizing server and desktop configurations, performing security management, and managing complex server enclaves. The candidate will utilize Windows Server 2016, 2019, Active Directory, Linux, VMware, Apache Tomcat, IIS, and SQL Server. Required skills include OS hardening, patch management, and vulnerability assessments. The work involves supporting high-assurance environments, managing storage and network infrastructure, and maintaining documentation for complex server and network environments within the Intel Sector.

What you'll do

Install applications and administer systems and processes to ensure timely issue resolution.
Optimize server and desktop configurations to support reliable and efficient operations.
Perform security management, application performance optimization, and operating system hardening.
Create and maintain complex server enclaves including patching, certificate renewals, and vulnerability assessments.
Administer systems providing web-based applications for storing and distributing information.
Identify and correct hardware and software issues while developing re-work solutions.
Create and maintain accurate documentation of complex server and network environments.
Communicate with users and external support personnel regarding system outages and upgrades.

What we're looking for

Bachelor’s Degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related technical field.
At least 8 years of relevant experience, though additional experience may be substituted for a degree.
Substantial experience as a systems administrator providing direct support to large groups of end users and technical staff.
At least 5 years of hands-on experience supporting Linux and Microsoft-based servers and workstations.
At least 5 years of hands-on experience with operating system and application hardening, including DISA and high-assurance environments.
At least 5 years of hands-on experience with software and hardware deployment, patch management, and system backup and restore functions.
Proficiency with Windows Server 2016, 2019, and Active Directory.
Must have TS/SCI with Polygraph.
