What you'll do

  • Manage the full lifecycle of hardware, servers, and software systems across manufacturing lines.
  • Design and support network infrastructure including switches, VLANs, routing, and wireless connectivity.
  • Build and maintain physical and virtual servers to ensure high availability for production applications.
  • Monitor system and network performance to proactively resolve issues impacting production throughput.
  • Integrate factory stations and production equipment while ensuring minimal downtime during transitions.
  • Implement security controls, access management, and compliance standards across all infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot complex hardware and networking issues in time-sensitive manufacturing environments.
  • Document deployment processes and create troubleshooting guides to improve scalability and efficiency.

What we're looking for

  • 5+ years of experience as a Systems or Network Administrator in manufacturing, industrial, or high-throughput environments.
  • Ability to work second shift from 3 PM to 11 PM.
  • Proficiency in Windows/Linux system administration including server buildout, virtualization, imaging, and endpoint lifecycle management.
  • Hands-on expertise configuring and troubleshooting network components like switches, firewalls, VLANs, routing, DNS, and VPN services.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and networking issues in production-critical environments.
  • Experience with asset tracking, configuration management, and maintaining accurate inventories of deployed systems.
  • Strong understanding of security principles including access controls, endpoint hardening, and secure network design.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills for conveying system status and risks.
  • Experience supporting MES, ERP, factory software, OT networks, PLCs, or SCADA systems (preferred).
  • Background in hybrid IT/OT architectures, virtualization platforms, or containerized environments (preferred).
  • Familiarity with automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or SCCM (preferred).
  • Experience with asset management platforms, CMDBs, or reliability engineering practices (preferred).
  • Relevant certifications such as Server+, Azure Administrator, CCNA, or ITIL (preferred).
