Supplier QA Engineer I

What you'll do

• Monitor supplier Quality Management Systems to ensure products meet design requirements and federal regulations.
• Conduct system, product, and process audits to manage and verify supplier performance compliance.
• Certify suppliers by assessing their personnel, processes, equipment, and adherence to quality standards.
• Manage the Corrective Action and Preventive Action (CAPA) process for all suppliers to ensure timely resolution of issues.
• Promote continuous improvement techniques and APQP principles at supplier sites to reduce manufacturing variability.
• Develop key metrics and scorecards to evaluate supplier health from a risk and performance perspective.
• Provide technical guidance and communicate company expectations to suppliers regarding performance concerns.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, aviation sciences, quality systems, or a related field is required or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• An Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License may be used in combination with four years of related experience in lieu of the degree requirement.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Ability to analyze data trends and metrics.
• Proficiency in communicating both written and verbally.
• Knowledge of manufacturing/fabrication techniques, Federal Aviation Regulations, and Quality Control System Requirements.
• ASQ certification (CQE) and/or experience as a FAA recognized designee (preferred).
• Working knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma principles (certification preferred) and knowledge of APQP principles (preferred).
