Supplier QA Engineer III

What you'll do

• Manage supplier performance by conducting system, product, and process audits in accordance with federal regulations.
• Certify supplier quality systems, personnel, processes, and equipment to meet applicable quality standards.
• Drive the Corrective Action and Preventive Action (CAPA) process for all suppliers to ensure timely and effective results.
• Promote continuous improvement techniques and APQP principles at supplier sites to reduce variability and improve process control.
• Develop key metrics and scorecard measures to evaluate supplier health from risk and performance perspectives.
• Provide technical guidance and oversight to subordinate quality engineers within functional groups.
• Lead quality focus meetings to communicate supplier performance progress to senior leadership.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, aviation sciences, quality systems, or a related field is required or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• An Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license may be used in combination with four years of related experience in lieu of the degree requirement.
• 4 years of technical related experience in a manufacturing environment, repair, or overhaul facility are required.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language is required.
• Experience in the aerospace manufacturing industry is highly desirable.
• Experience in a supplier quality capacity is highly desirable.
• ASQ certification (CQE) and/or experience as an FAA recognized designee are preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma principles (certification preferred).
