Supplier QA Engineer II

What you'll do

• Investigate supplier parts for manufacturing and quality issues based on engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Manage supplier performance compliance through system, product, and process audits in accordance with federal regulations.
• Certify suppliers by assessing their quality systems, personnel, processes, and equipment against applicable standards.
• Coordinate and monitor audit schedules and evaluate acceptance test programs for Gulfstream suppliers.
• Drive the Corrective Action and Preventive Action (CAPA) process to ensure timely and effective supplier improvements.
• Promote continuous improvement techniques and APQP principles at supplier sites to reduce variability and improve process control.
• Develop key metrics and scorecards to monitor supplier health from a risk and performance perspective.
• Lead quality focus meetings to communicate supplier performance progress to senior leadership.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, aviation sciences, quality systems, or a related field is required or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2 years of technical related experience in a manufacturing environment or repair and overhaul facility is required.
• An A&P License may be used in combination with four years of related experience in lieu of the degree requirement.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Experience in a Supplier Quality capacity (preferred).
• ASQ certification (CQE) and/or experience as a FAA recognized designee (preferred).
• Working knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma principles (certification preferred).
• Knowledge of APQP principles (preferred); handling supplier parts for build issues (preferred); SAP and Solumina experience (preferred).
