What you'll do

  • Design back-end and front-end functionality, operational workflows, and business solutions for complex problems.
  • Translate moderately complex business requirements into sustainable software solutions in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Develop, test, debug, and implement software using Unix, C#, C++, Java, Python, and J2EE technologies.
  • Provide expert-level troubleshooting for mission-critical system upgrades and client or regulatory specific implementations.
  • Conduct manual and automated unit tests and system integration testing to ensure high product quality.
  • Maintain stable, error-free production and test environments while ensuring adherence to service level agreements.
  • Participate in change management, deployment processes, and the implementation of large-scale upgrades.
  • Improve development methodologies using tools like GitHub, Jira, Agile, and cloud development frameworks.

What we're looking for

  • A B.S. or M.S. degree in software engineering, computer science, or a related field is preferred.
  • 8 to 10 years of progressively responsible professional software engineering experience is preferred.
  • 5 to 7 years of experience in the financial services industry developing solutions for portfolio management, trading, compliance, and settlement is preferred.
  • Experience with Unix, shell scripting, and Oracle performance tuning is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of fixed-income products and interest rate derivatives is strongly desirable.
  • Experience with SUMMIT product upgrades is a plus.
  • Experience with cloud technologies (AWS or Azure) and migration from on-prem to public cloud is a plus.
  • Proficiency in C#, C++, Java, Python, J2EE, Tomcat, and web services is required.
