Staff/Director Compute Roadmap Strategy and Planning Product Manager joins the Compute Chipset Product Management team to manage the Windows on Snapdragon portfolio for laptops, notebooks, and other compute form factors. This role leads the end-to-end PC chipset processor roadmap strategy, from initial market assessment and product definition through silicon and IP roadmap planning. The individual will define product positioning, translate AI trends and model workloads into technical requirements, and partner with engineering teams to evaluate trade-offs regarding performance, power, cost, and schedule. Key responsibilities include identifying market gaps, promoting technologies to grow Snapdragon share, and managing cross-functional business cases for complex products. Essential skills include deep knowledge of the PC processor market, semiconductor ecosystems, and expertise in LLM architectures, transformer-based models, and on-device intelligence use cases to drive future-generation compute chipset investment decisions.

What you'll do

  • Lead the end-to-end PC chipset processor roadmap strategy from initial concept through execution and end of life.
  • Identify market gaps by analyzing customer needs, technology trends, and ecosystem requirements to guide product design.
  • Define silicon and IP roadmap plans for compute platforms including CPU, GPU, NPU, memory, and connectivity.
  • Translate AI trends and model workloads into specific technical requirements for future compute products.
  • Evaluate trade-offs between performance, power, cost, and schedule to prioritize scalable platform roadmaps.
  • Develop business cases for new products and communicate roadmap recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Market complex technologies through technical marketing activities, conferences, and direct customer engagement.
  • Translate customer feedback and market signals into actionable roadmap changes and product differentiation strategies.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of Product Management or related work experience (advanced degrees may substitute for up to two years).
  • Deep understanding of the PC processor market, including hardware components, OEMs, and industry trends.
  • Experience defining silicon and IP roadmap planning for compute platforms.
  • Expertise in AI silicon definition, including LLM architectures and generative AI workloads.
  • 10+ years of product management experience with PC or laptop processors (preferred).
  • Deep experience in the PC and laptop semiconductor industry and ecosystem (preferred).
  • Direct experience as a silicon product manager working with customers, device makers, and ODMs (preferred); MBA preferred.
