Staff Unified Communications Engineer

What you'll do

• Manage and evolve the Unified Communications platform including Microsoft Teams Rooms, Cisco RoomOS, and related collaboration services.
• Maintain meeting spaces across desktop, mobile, and room environments to ensure a reliable employee experience.
• Build and maintain integrations using Microsoft Graph, PowerShell, and REST APIs to sync UC systems with identity and calendaring platforms.
• Automate administrative tasks, health checks, and remediations using Python, Bash, and generative AI tools.
• Instrument UC observability through Call Quality Dashboards (CQD) and user experience metrics to monitor system performance.
• Manage the lifecycle of hardware and software including provisioning, firmware updates, and incident response for meeting systems.
• Develop documentation for runbooks, standards, and change procedures to ensure the platform is supportable at scale.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of experience in Unified Communications, collaboration engineering, or a related IT platform role.
• Hands-on knowledge of Cisco Webex RoomOS, Microsoft Teams Rooms, and enterprise meeting platforms like Zoom and Slack.
• Experience with infrastructure spanning Azure and Amazon Web Services as they apply to UC, identity, and supporting services.
• Proficiency in Python and Bash scripting for automation, along with experience using generative AI tools.
• Experience with API integrations, Microsoft Graph, and PowerShell.
• Familiarity with UC observability, Call Quality Dashboard (CQD), and user experience metrics.
• Ability to work onsite in Santa Clara, CA.
