What you'll do

  • Lead end-to-end technical engagements to bring new partners onto the platform.
  • Design solutions that span multiple engineering teams and different companies across organizational boundaries.
  • Convert recurring integration requirements into reusable reference architectures and decision guidance.
  • Translate partner and field needs into scoped, prioritized engineering work for internal teams.
  • Develop automated or self-service paths to scale onboarding for Army formations and industry partners.
  • Conduct technical exchanges with external engineering teams to establish integration designs and resolve open items.
  • Author technical documentation and reference materials that other engineers can follow to completion.

What we're looking for

  • Must possess and be able to maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in systems engineering, solutions architecture, integration engineering, technical program management, or forward-deployed engineering.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and critique REST/gRPC integrations, authentication flows, schemas, and event streams while reading source code fluently.
  • Experience as a technical lead for external engineering teams or owning developer-facing platform surfaces for internal or external customers.
  • Proven ability to conduct technical working sessions, document decisions, and track commitments across organizational boundaries.
  • Ability to produce high-quality technical writing including reference architectures and integration guides (writing sample required).
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical decisions to both engineering teams and senior military stakeholders.
  • Service in or support of US Army organizations, including understanding how units adopt new software (preferred).
  • DoD delivery experience involving accreditation, multiple classification enclaves, and operation in disconnected environments (preferred).
  • Co-development experience with a defense prime, systems integrator, or defense technology company on a jointly delivered capability (preferred).
  • Experience in developer experience work such as documentation as a product, SDKs, and onboarding automation (preferred).
  • Domain fluency in command and control, geospatial systems, data fabrics, tactical networking, or sensor-to-effector integration (preferred).
