Staff Software Engineer, Maritime Enabling Technology joins the Maritime Division to lead the delivery of software integrated into autonomous maritime systems. This role involves acting as a technical lead and senior individual contributor responsible for autonomy, simulation, data processing, payload integration, and off-board command and control. You will own multi-year roadmaps, drive architecture selection for robotic systems including compute and network infrastructure, and oversee the development of software running on and off platform. The role requires expertise in algorithms, data structures, concurrency, and system design to solve complex problems in the maritime domain. Preferred technical skills include programming in C++, Rust, or Go for backend and embedded systems, as well as TypeScript and React for frontend applications. You will also manage development processes, create test and simulation fixtures, and mentor other engineers within a multi-stakeholder environment.

What we're looking for
Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a relevant field (or equivalent experience).
Experience in a leadership position within a high performing technology organization.
Extensive professional experience as a Software Engineer with one or more domains and/or technologies of expertise.
Proficiency in systems and application programming including algorithms, data structures, concurrency, scaling, testing, infrastructure, software design, and system design.
Experience troubleshooting and analyzing remotely deployed software systems.
Ability to act as technical owner for entire software systems, including stakeholder engagement, requirements definition, roadmap management, and team coordination.
Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
Preferred: Experience in a senior role delivering military mission systems or high assurance safety critical software (preferred).
