Software Engineer - Maritime Integrated Systems
The Software Engineer joins the Maritime Division to architect and deliver software for autonomous underwater and surface vessels. You will independently drive the delivery of autonomy, simulation, data processing, and payload integration while owning software solutions deployed to customers. Day-to-day responsibilities include designing scalable software, creating test and simulation fixtures for hardware-in-the-loop testing, and mentoring team members. You will utilize skills in algorithms, data structures, concurrency, and system design to build components for a system-of-systems that orchestrates disparate sensors and platforms. The role requires proficiency in C++, Rust, Go, Typescript, and React, alongside experience with horizontally scaled cloud technologies and embedded software. This work solves the technical challenge of executing autonomous missions in the maritime domain to achieve national strategic priorities.

What we're looking for

Extensive professional experience working as a Software Engineer with one or more domains and/or technologies of expertise.
Systems and/or application programming skills including algorithms, data structures, concurrency, scaling, testing, infrastructure, software design and system design.
Experience troubleshooting and analyzing remotely deployed software systems.
Capacity to work holistically on software enabled capabilities through design, implementation, operation and sustainment.
Capacity to act as the technical owner for a software service, including stakeholder engagement, requirements definition, roadmap management, and team coordination.
Capacity to learn and grow individually while mentoring junior team members effectively.
Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
