Senior Software Engineer - Undersea Dominance
The Senior Software Engineer joins the Maritime Division to drive the delivery of software integrated into autonomous underwater systems. You will independently own software-enabled solutions, including autonomy, simulation, data processing, payload integration, and off-board command and control. Responsibilities include architecting, designing, and delivering next-generation platforms, creating test and simulation fixtures, and mentoring junior engineers. You will utilize skills in algorithms, data structures, concurrency, scaling, and infrastructure to develop software for robotic platforms. Preferred technologies include C++, Rust, Go, Typescript, and React, alongside experience with horizontally scaled cloud technologies and high assurance safety-critical software. This role solves complex maritime operational challenges by developing a coherent system-of-systems for autonomous missions, including the Dive-XL and Seabed Sentry platforms, to achieve national strategic priorities.

What we're looking for
Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Engineering, a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
Extensive professional experience working as a Software Engineer with one or more domains and/or technologies of expertise.
Systems and/or application programming skills including algorithms, data structures, concurrency, scaling, testing, infrastructure, software design and system design.
Experience troubleshooting and analyzing remotely deployed software systems.
Capacity to work holistically on software enabled capabilities through design, implementation, operation and sustainment.
Capacity to act as the technical owner for a software service, including stakeholder engagement, requirements definition, roadmap management, and team coordination.
Capacity to learn and grow individually while mentoring junior team members effectively.
Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
