Staff Software Engineer, Java/AWS

What you'll do

• Build technical strategies for complex requirements and solve large open-ended problems.
• Drive all aspects of technical architecture, design, prototyping, and implementation.
• Lead the development of technical plans, backlogs of stories, and production delivery.
• Guide functional team members through planning and execution of project goals.
• Represent engineering in cross-functional sessions to persuade others and influence behavior.
• Partner with product managers and designers to conceptualize and build new features.
• Own the long-term health of specific features and surrounding systems.
• Develop and implement tests to ensure application quality, performance, and scalability.

What we're looking for

• Candidates must independently possess the eligibility to work in the United States.
• A Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field is typically required.
• Candidates must have eight or more years of relevant related experience.
• Candidates must have seven or more years of experience in distributed systems, SaaS, cloud solutions, or microservices.
• Candidates must have six or more years of work experience with Java/Spring.
• Proficiency in Maven/Gradle is required.
• Experience with event-driven architecture and messaging frameworks like Kafka or RabbitMQ is required.
• Knowledge of mature engineering practices including CI/CD, testing, and secure coding is required.
