Staff Cloud Engineer

What you'll do

• Build technical strategies and architectures for complex requirements and large open-ended problems.
• Drive all aspects of technical design, prototyping, and implementation to support product needs.
• Lead the development of technical plans, backlogs of stories, and execution through production delivery.
• Collaborate with product managers and designers to conceptualize and build new features.
• Develop and implement tests to ensure application quality, performance, and scalability.
• Lead infrastructure-as-code projects and design APIs for reliable cloud deployments.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure problems spanning multiple layers of the technology stack.
• Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes to ensure system integrity and security.

What we're looking for

• Candidates must independently possess the eligibility to work in the United States at the date of hire.
• A Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field is typically required.
• Candidates must have eight or more years of relevant related experience.
• Candidates must have seven or more years of experience in the development of distributed systems, SaaS, cloud solutions, or microservices.
• Candidates must have six or more years of work experience with Java/Spring and proficiency with Maven/Gradle.
• Candidates must have two or more years of experience in the development of front-end solutions with hands-on familiarity with modern frameworks.
• Candidates must have hands-on experience with Docker and experience designing/developing scalable systems.
• Candidates must have experience with cloud infrastructure, event-driven architecture, and knowledge of mature engineering practices like CI/CD and SDLC.
