What you'll do

Architect, design, and develop high-performance software for the Confluent Cloud network data plane.
Optimize performance, security, reliability, and cost for traffic ingressing and egressing customer Kafka clusters.

Lead a team of engineers to execute software projects and deliver high-quality results in production.

What we're looking for

Master's Degree (preferred).
8+ years of relevant cloud infrastructure or cloud networking experience.
Strong fundamentals in distributed systems design and development.
Solid understanding of basic systems operations including storage, network, and operating systems.
Proficiency in C++, Go, Python, or other statically typed languages.
Experience with public clouds (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and building/managing Layer 7 proxies like Envoy.
Open source contributions to CNCF projects, Kubernetes Networking experience, and a strong networking background (preferred).
