What you'll do

  • Develop new Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) assay products using wet-lab and dry-lab skillsets.
  • Provide subject matter expertise for on-market Next Generation Sequencing products.
  • Design and conduct experiments to support product development.
  • Analyze and interpret experimental results to inform internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop bioinformatics workflows for NGS assays tailored for non-technical users.
  • Present experimental demonstrations of products at scientific conferences.
  • Support the development of NGS products that include software components.

What we're looking for

  • Must have an M.Sc. in a life sciences field or related discipline and at least 8 years of experience with NGS product development.
  • Alternatively, must have a Ph.D. and at least 5 years of experience with NGS product development.
  • Must have experience in wet-lab work preparing nucleic acids for NGS.
  • Must have experience in dry-lab programming for NGS data analysis.
  • Must possess foundational knowledge of human genetics, cancer biology, and statistics.
  • Must have industry experience developing and supporting NGS products with software components.
  • Must have experience developing bioinformatics workflows for NGS assays for non-technical users.
  • Preferred skills include Python programming, machine learning methods, NextFlow, and specific expertise in RNA-seq or methylation detection.
