What you'll do

  • Develop, plan, and analyze results from experiments across multiple product areas to guide project progression.
  • Independently design and develop algorithms for molecular diagnostics and complex data analysis.
  • Act as a subject matter expert to provide technical guidance on new technologies and R&D projects.
  • Create and present data-driven outcomes, scientific abstracts, and manuscripts for internal and external audiences.
  • Manage project timelines, documentation, and development plans for high-complexity research initiatives.
  • Contribute to the intellectual property portfolio by developing innovative solutions to improve current methods.
  • Train, guide, and mentor junior bioinformatics scientists within the organization.
  • Identify and lead process improvements while ensuring compliance with Quality Management System policies.

What we're looking for

  • PhD in bioinformatics, computational biology, computer science, mathematics, or a related field.
  • Master’s degree in a relevant field plus 4 years of experience, or a Bachelor’s degree plus 6 years of experience.
  • At least 9 years of industry or academia experience in bioinformatics.
  • At least 8 years of experience in molecular diagnostics, medical device/IVD/LDT development, biotech, or life science.
  • Demonstrated expertise as a thought leader in bioinformatics, genomics, and/or next-generation sequencing (NGS).
  • Demonstrated experience developing statistical and quantitative methods.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with advanced statistical learning, AI techniques, or software development lifecycle (preferred).
