What you'll do

  • Design and deliver multi-year software roadmaps for vehicle perception and planning across multiple teams.
  • Lead the architecture and implementation of safe navigation, collision avoidance, and situational awareness systems.
  • Develop sensor suites, perception algorithms, and motion planning logic to ensure autonomous vehicle operation.
  • Perform high-impact individual contribution work across the entire perception and planning software stack.
  • Apply computer vision, sensor fusion, and machine learning techniques to enhance vehicle capabilities.
  • Validate algorithms through simulation environments and analysis of real-world experimental data.
  • Manage technical requirements and stakeholder engagement for the full product lifecycle of autonomous systems.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in C++ and/or Python software development.
  • Familiarity with autonomous vehicle hardware and sensors including radar, sonar, LIDAR, and cameras.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of computer vision, sensor fusion, SLAM, motion planning, or machine learning.
  • Experience in a senior perception or planning role for the delivery of a robotic system.
  • Ability to act as a technical owner for systems, including roadmap management, stakeholder engagement, and team coordination.
  • Ability to collaborate with stakeholders to define and implement validation and verification strategies.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
