What you'll do

Design and implement safe navigation, collision avoidance, and situational awareness systems for maritime vehicles.
Develop scalable sub-systems including sensor processing, motion planning, health management, and anomaly detection.
Apply computer vision, sensor fusion, and machine learning to enhance vehicle perception capabilities.
Build and maintain simulation environments and testing fixtures to validate perception and planning algorithms.
Analyze real-world experiment data to develop and improve automated data analysis tooling.
Create reusable software components that can be integrated across multiple product lines.
Act as a technical owner for systems by managing requirements, roadmaps, and stakeholder engagement.
Mentor junior team members and coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure successful system integration.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Proficiency in C++ and/or Python software development.
Familiarity with autonomous vehicle hardware and sensors such as radar, sonar, LIDAR, and cameras.
Demonstrated knowledge of computer vision, sensor fusion, SLAM, motion planning, or machine learning.
Experience in a senior perception or planning role for the delivery of a robotic system.
Ability to act as a technical owner for systems, including stakeholder engagement, roadmap management, and team coordination.
Ability to collaborate with stakeholders to define and implement validation and verification strategies.
Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
