As a Staff Quality Engineer, Customer Quality, you will join the Hardware Engineering team to serve as the primary liaison for data center customers regarding quality issues. What you'll do

  • Lead conference calls and face-to-face meetings with customers regarding product quality issues.
  • Track and report customer quality metrics to both the customer and internal management.

  • Formulate technical responses for customers based on results from various engineering activities.
  • Travel to customer sites to support onsite problem solving and issue resolution.
  • Create presentations covering root cause analysis, risk assessments, and corrective actions for complaints.
  • Coordinate cross-functional activities to assess product risk and drive continuous improvement.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or a related field and 4+ years of Hardware Engineering experience.
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or a related field and 3+ years of Hardware Engineering experience.
  • PhD in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or a related field and 2+ years of Hardware Engineering experience.
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
  • 8+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience (preferred).
  • 4+ years of technical and business customer communications (preferred).
  • 2+ years of experience dealing with suppliers in driving issue resolutions (preferred).
  • 2+ years in a technical leadership role with or without direct reports (preferred).
