Staff Project Management joins the Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems team to manage complex technical projects within an Integrated Product Team structure. The role involves orchestrating program management activities, overseeing cost and schedule performance, and developing budget baselines using Earn Value Management processes. Key responsibilities include managing Risk, Issue, and Opportunity processes, coordinating with project teams and line management, and ensuring the timely delivery of Contractual Deliverable commitments. Additionally, the position involves managing Taskable Engineering proposal development and collaborating with contracts and pricing teams to align responses with customer needs. The required skills and tools include proficiency in PowerPoint, SharePoint, JIRA, Confluence, and Excel. This role addresses technical challenges within a high-security environment requiring an active Top Secret clearance and potential Special Access Program access for various systems and technologies.
Orchestrate and control program management activities for the Integrated Product Team (IPT).
Oversee cost and schedule performance for complex technical projects across various systems and technologies.
Develop and maintain budget baselines using Earned Value Management (EVM) processes and provide regular status updates.
Execute cost, schedule, and technical performance baselines to satisfy specific program contractual requirements.
Manage the Risk, Issue, and Opportunity process to proactively address potential project challenges.
Serve as the primary liaison between project management, planning teams, and line management.
Manage Taskable Engineering (TE) and proposal development by writing responses and collaborating with pricing teams.
Ensure the timely delivery of all Contractual Deliverable (CDRL) commitments to the customer.
What we're looking for
Must have a Bachelor’s degree and 12 years of experience, a Master’s degree and 10 years of experience, or a PhD and 8 years of experience.
Experience must be in Engineering, Project/Program Management, Sustainment, Proposals, Resource Planning, Contracts, Subcontracts, or Business Management.
Must have Control Account Manager (CAM) experience and Project Management experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
Must possess an active U.S. Government Top Secret clearance with a background investigation within the past 5 years.
Must be able to obtain and maintain initial and upgraded Special Access Program (SAP) access.
U.S. Citizenship is required.
Preferred qualifications include PMP certification, CAM certification, proposal writing experience, and experience in SCIF/SAPF environments.
