TL;DR · Staff Mechanical Engineer, Advanced Targeting & Sensing Systems

As a Staff Mechanical Engineer on the Connected Warfare team, you will take comprehensive ownership of mechanical systems for a critical product already in production. You will lead the full mechanical design lifecycle for rugged, mission-critical hardware, managing everything from initial architecture assessment and CAD modeling to fabrication coordination and benchtop testing. Your daily work involves driving design evolution based on operational feedback, ensuring robust integration of subsystems like LiDAR and power systems, and performing root cause analysis to improve manufacturability. You will manage engineering documentation, including production drawings and bills of materials within a PLM tool. The role requires expertise in tolerance analysis, material selection, and designing for extreme environments involving shock and vibration. Key technical skills include proficiency in CAD software, NX, Teamcenter, and experience with machining, sheet metal, composites, and injection molding.
