Staff Manufacturing Engineer, Mechanical Actuation Systems

What you'll do

• Transition precision mechanical actuators and electromechanical systems from prototype to scalable production.
• Provide DFM and DFA feedback to Design Engineering for actuator components and integrated systems.
• Design and oversee the implementation of custom tooling, jigs, and fixtures for assembly and testing.
• Establish and optimize repeatable process flows for complex operations like bearing installation and sensor integration.
• Define and manage Manufacturing Bill of Materials (MBOM) and routings within MES and ERP systems.
• Develop standardized manufacturing documentation including work instructions, quality plans, and inspection requirements.
• Design and implement test methodologies for actuator performance and environmental qualification.
• Provide hands-on technical guidance and mentorship to engineers during prototype builds and production validation.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 12+ years of progressive manufacturing or design engineering experience with precision mechanical components, electromechanical hardware, or motion control systems.
• Proven track record of leading technical initiatives and mentoring other engineers.
• Demonstrated expertise delivering complex electromechanical hardware like actuators and robotics in fast-paced environments.
• Expertise in establishing manufacturing environments including MBOM creation, MES integration, and Root Cause Corrective Action.
• Proficiency with Siemens NX for CAD and Teamcenter for PLM software.
• Hands-on experience physically manufacturing hardware through machining, additive manufacturing, or electromechanical assembly.
• Must be a U.S. Person due to requirements for access to export-controlled information or facilities.
