What you'll do

Own the mechanical definition and configuration management for production products from shipment through ongoing changes.
Resolve manufacturing quality issues using root cause analysis and implement permanent corrective actions.
Design new components and revise existing ones to improve product evolution.
Integrate design for manufacture and assembly (DFMA) feedback to optimize production line reliability.
Manage the bill of materials (BOM) and engineering documentation for final shipped products.
Support qualification campaigns to ensure products perform reliably in real-world conditions.
Travel to field exercises to gather user feedback and improve product performance.

What we're looking for

5+ years of professional mechanical engineering experience.
A track record of owning designs on a team.
Experience managing a BOM and drawings in a PLM tool.
Strong CAD skills to produce high-quality engineering drawings and documentation.
Fluency with engineering first principles.
Experience with root cause analysis (RCA) and permanent corrective action (PCA).
B.S. or higher in an engineering field.
U.S. Person status for access to export-controlled data.
Experience with Siemens NX and Teamcenter PLM (preferred).
Experience managing products in medium- to high-volume production (100s of units) (preferred).
Ownership of a complex bill of materials for an electromechanical product (preferred).
Comfort with formal change management and running multiple configurations of one product (preferred).
Working knowledge of machining, sheet metal, composites, and 3D printing (preferred).
Active Top Secret clearance, or the ability to obtain and maintain one (preferred).
