Staff Manufacturing Process Engineer

What you'll do

• Own the manufacturing process for intelligence systems across all production stages.
• Provide design for manufacturability (DFM) and assembly feedback to engineering teams.
• Develop novel tooling solutions and optimized process flows for complex assemblies.
• Create technical documentation including work instructions, quality plans, and inspection requirements.
• Manage contract manufacturers to develop repeatable processes for both rapid prototyping and mass production.
• Evaluate and disposition hardware non-conformances while iterating on assembly processes based on lessons learned.
• Build prototype hardware hands-on alongside technicians and other engineers.
• Travel to suppliers to conduct sourcing, resolve production issues, and implement quality procedures.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 12+ years of experience in manufacturing process development, preferably in a high-reliability industry (preferred).
• Active U.S. Secret security clearance.
• Expertise in creating detailed work instructions and manufacturing process documentation.
• Experience optimizing manual assembly operations and establishing standardized work.
• Ability to analyze and improve processes using lean manufacturing principles.
• Proficiency with CAD software for tooling design and assembly documentation.
• Knowledge of DFMA principles, Statistical Process Control, and experience with manufacturing execution systems.
