What you'll do

  • Own and optimize the core GPU rendering platform for real-time video processing across Adobe products.
  • Drive complex platform initiatives from inception to completion across multiple product releases.
  • Build a shared technology stack including common shaders, rendering frameworks, and multi-API GPU abstractions.
  • Manage rendering performance, stability, and device compatibility across various hardware vendors and platforms.
  • Partner with hardware vendors and internal teams to resolve deep technical issues and shape underlying technologies.
  • Prototype next-generation rendering technologies using modern shading languages and shader toolchains.
  • Lead architecture design, conduct code reviews, and mentor other engineers on technical standards.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in software engineering with depth in GPU, graphics, or rendering systems.
  • Strong proficiency in modern C++ within large, complex, cross-platform codebases on Mac and Windows.
  • Deep experience with at least one modern graphics/compute API such as DirectX 12, Metal, Vulkan, CUDA, or OpenCL.
  • Strong knowledge of GPU architecture, shading languages (HLSL, Slang, SPIR-V), and real-time video processing.
  • Proven ability to perform low-level debugging and performance optimization across the CPU/GPU boundary using tools like Nsight or PIX.
  • Track record of leading complex, cross-team technical initiatives to completion with limited guidance.
  • Experience with ML inference integration, modern shader toolchains, and working with GPU hardware vendors is preferred.
