Principal Software Engineer, AWS

What you'll do

• Create technical product designs and architectures for complex software projects.
• Develop and shape a departmental-wide technical vision for future engineering goals.
• Design and engineer application service solutions using cloud, containerization, and CI/CD practices.
• Partner with product management to define product strategy and align it with technology roadmaps.
• Act as a subject matter expert on software engineering issues and emerging industry trends.
• Coach and mentor team members while modeling best practices for the engineering organization.
• Collaborate with customers to identify needs and improve product functionality.
• Deliver technical presentations and share knowledge across cross-functional teams.

What we're looking for

• Candidates must independently possess eligibility to work in the United States at the date of hire.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field is typically required.
• Master's or Doctorate in Computer Science or another technical field (preferred).
• Fifteen or more years of experience designing and developing complex software projects with at least eight years in the FinTech domain.
• 1-2 years of experience implementing application solutions in Cloud using Containerization, CI/CD, Automated testing, and security guidelines.
• Proven track record as a full stack developer building end-to-end systems using Java, RESTful Web Services, Microservices, or Spring Boot.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Git, Chef, Maven, Jenkins), modern Cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure), and OOA/OOD.
• Strong communication skills for public speaking and presenting to all levels of the company.
