Staff Camera Engineer As a Staff Camera Engineer within the IoT Camera Software team, you will design advanced imaging features and develop camera software systems for various IoT devices. You will work with 3A algorithms, MIPI, GMSL, I2C, and GPIO interfaces to solve complex imaging problems across Linux-based embedded systems and mobile platforms to deliver high-quality, robust camera solutions for commercial products.

What you'll do

Design and develop new image-processing features for next-generation camera systems.
Architect and implement drivers for advanced imaging hardware (ISP).
Develop image-analysis and processing techniques using ARM, DSP, GPU, and ML accelerators.
Optimize camera systems for power, memory, and silicon area while maximizing performance.
Prototype and validate solutions on Qualcomm IoT platforms for proof-of-concept and production.
Develop low-level embedded software and camera subsystem enablement for IoT devices.
Lead the development of camera software including 3A algorithms, image quality systems, and tuning tools.
Ensure camera software meets performance, power, and quality requirements for commercial readiness.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science with 6+ years of experience, Master's with 5+ years, or PhD with 4+ years of experience.
3+ years of work experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
7+ years of experience architecting complex embedded systems or SoC-level software (preferred).
Expertise in SoC architecture, ARM architecture, Linux kernel, and device drivers (preferred).
Strong knowledge of Linux kernel internals, device-driver models, and camera sensor driver bring-up (preferred).
Experience with Camera HAL development, 3A algorithms, tuning tools, and familiarity with MIPI, GMSL, I2C, and GPIO interfaces (preferred).
Experience with Android camera frameworks, Linux V4L2 frameworks, and multimedia software for Linux-based systems (preferred).
Advanced proficiency in C/C++ and experience with OpenCL or OpenGL for algorithm development (preferred).
