The Sr. SRE-Oracle DBA joins the Site Reliability Engineering team to provide shared full stack ownership of a collection of services and technology areas. What you'll do

  • Manage, maintain, and optimize mission-critical Oracle database environments across on-premises and cloud systems.
  • Ensure database availability, performance, security, and recoverability using RMAN, RAC, and Data Guard.
  • Design and deliver a mission-critical stack with a focus on security, resiliency, scale, and performance.
  • Act as the ultimate escalation point for complex technical issues and troubleshoot service dependencies.
  • Perform database patching, upgrades, and performance tuning using tools like AWR and ASH.
  • Develop and implement automation for complex workflows and service architecture improvements.
  • Administer Linux/Unix systems and write shell scripts to support database operations.

What we're looking for

  • Must possess U.S. citizenship.
  • Must have an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance.
  • 6 to 10+ years of experience.
  • Strong experience with Oracle Database (11g/12c/19c or later).
  • Expertise in RMAN backup and recovery, including restore and disaster recovery scenarios.
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle RAC and/or Data Guard.
  • Solid Linux/Unix administration skills (RHEL, Oracle Linux) and Bash shell scripting.
  • Experience with performance tuning (AWR, ASH, execution plans) and SQL/PL/SQL.
