What you'll do

Perform daily database administration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of system database and replication issues.
Monitor database performance and memory allocations using standard tools.
Perform system updates and Information Assurance Vulnerability Alert (IAVA) patching.
Execute database recovery actions and perform performance tuning and index maintenance.
Modify and create database scripts to enhance system support and resolve recurring issues.
Develop and execute SQL queries for routine and ad hoc data requests.
Translate requirements into usable database schemas by creating scripts, macros, and queries.
Implement and maintain database security policies and procedures to ensure data integrity.

What we're looking for

Must have a Bachelor's with experience, a Master's with , or a Doctorate with relevant experience.
Additional experience may be substituted for a degree.
Must have at least ten years of demonstrated experience as a database administrator.
Must have at least ten years of Oracle Database Administration experience.
Must have in-depth experience implementing and maintaining database security.
Must have in-depth experience conducting database performance tuning, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
Must have experience installing, configuring, and upgrading RDBMS software.
Must have experience with procedural languages such as PL/SQL.
Must have TS/SCI with Polygraph on Day One.
Experience with real-time highly available data replication technologies such as Oracle Data Guard, Oracle Streams, or Oracle Golden Gate (preferred).
Experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodology and/or as a member of an Agile team (preferred).
Extensive, in-depth experience with database design and development (preferred).
Extensive, in-depth understanding of Oracle and/or other relational and non-relational/NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL and MongoDB (preferred).
Experience using Mongo and/or Cassandra (preferred).
