What you'll do

Perform root cause analysis and investigation to identify failure trends in complex electronic communication systems.
Recommend design improvements and corrective actions based on detailed technical analysis.
Present findings and recommendations to the Failure Review Board (FRB).
Manage the FRACAS database by tracking open investigations and generating reports for management and customers.
Document repair reports for MRO and warranty units, including root cause analysis and disposition recommendations.
Perform functional testing and troubleshoot equipment in assigned areas to review fault isolation procedures.
Deliver technical data presentations to internal management and external customer reviews.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree and minimum 6 years of relevant experience, a graduate degree and 4 years of experience, or 10 years of experience without a degree.
Experience performing root cause analysis and making design improvement recommendations based on failure data.
Ability to perform functional testing and troubleshooting for complex electronic systems including data link and mechanical systems (preferred).
Familiarity with FRACAS software/databases and knowledge of Reliability Analysis or Failure Mode/Fault Tree Analysis (preferred).
Experience supporting a FRACAS program (preferred).
Strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and the ability to meet critical deadlines.
Proficiency in data mining using Business Objects and SQL (plus).
Must be a U.S. citizen to obtain required security clearances.
