Senior Specialist, Electrical Engineer, Motor Control and Servo Design

What you'll do

• Design brushless 3-phase inverter and motor drive circuits for servo and motion control applications.
• Develop analog, digital, and power schematics to support printed circuit card designs.
• Manage the full hardware lifecycle from requirements analysis and design through verification and production transition.
• Perform first-article bring-up and debug of new hardware in a laboratory environment.
• Apply control systems theory, including PID and lead-lag compensation, to motor and servo designs.
• Develop interface circuitry for encoders, resolvers, actuators, and other feedback devices.
• Use MATLAB/Simulink and LTspice to model, simulate, and validate electrical designs.
• Support communication interfaces such as CAN bus and EtherCAT for system integration.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree and minimum 6 years of relevant experience, a graduate degree and 4 years of experience, or 10 years of experience without a degree.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. DoD security clearance.
• Experience in brushless 3-phase motor drives, inverter power stages, and servo control systems.
• Expertise in designing analog, digital, and power schematics for printed circuit cards.
• Proficiency in control systems theory including PID and lead-lag compensation.
• Experience with modeling tools like MATLAB/Simulink and LTspice (preferred).
• Knowledge of C, C++, or VHDL (preferred).
• U.S. citizens.
