Senior Software Engineer, Routing Platform & Infrastructure

What you'll do

• Own the lifecycle of management frameworks to ensure standardized interoperability between hardware and pluggable optics.
• Integrate control-plane and datapath logic to ensure NPU and ASIC designs deliver peak performance.
• Architect robust, Linux-based embedded solutions for hardware optics and PHY layer integration.
• Design diagnostic and telemetry infrastructure to maintain network observability and autonomy.
• Lead the end-to-end design of medium-scope features as a technical steward for the software roadmap.
• Provide technical mentorship through knowledge sharing, meticulous code reviews, and the creation of user documentation.

What we're looking for

• Must have a Bachelor's degree and 6+ years, Master's degree and 4+ years, or PhD and 1+ years of experience in CS, EE, or a related field.
• Must have experience in C/C++/Python, Data Structures, and Algorithms.
• Must have experience in embedded systems development and Linux OS programming.
• Must have experience in Platform Infrastructure or Optics software development.
• Must be local to Milpitas to work in the office at least 3 days each week.
• Experience with coherent optics (ZR/ZR+), PHY / SerDes, FEC, ASIC / NPU, and DSP-based systems (preferred).
• Familiarity with CMIS and/or SFF standards (preferred).
• Experience with IOS-XR, SONiC, FBOSS, or similar NOS platforms (preferred).
