What you'll do

Own the end-to-end delivery of features from technical design and implementation through testing and production observability.
Architect non-blocking, event-driven service pipelines that handle millions of concurrent requests with resilience.
Design and build microservices for high-throughput customer experiences across web, mobile, and phone platforms.
Implement contract-first API designs to ensure backward compatibility and clean integration across service boundaries.
Drive engineering best practices including code reviews, unit/integration testing, and CI/CD pipeline improvements.
Develop high-scale, fault-tolerant, and secure cloud-based distributed systems using the Spring ecosystem.
Optimize backend performance through advanced JVM management and efficient caching strategies.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.
5+ years of proven software development experience in a professional capacity (longer experience preferred).
2+ years of experience with Java, including concurrency, memory management, and performance optimization.
Proficiency in OOP principles, data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns to build maintainable backend code.
Experience building production applications using the Spring ecosystem, including Spring Boot, WebFlux, and microservices.
Solid understanding of advanced JVM internals such as garbage collection, memory allocation, JIT, and JNI.
Experience designing and shipping high-scale, fault-tolerant, and secure cloud-based distributed systems.
Solid knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, and infrastructure including HTTP/HTTPS, TCP/IP, CDN, and Zero Trust architecture.
Track record of leading software projects as a tech lead and mentoring engineers (preferred).
Experience with GenAI coding tools to accelerate development and improve code quality (preferred).
Experience with complementary languages like Go, Python, or Ruby for automation and data processing (preferred).
Experience in API design using RESTful principles, gRPC, GraphQL, and contract-first design (preferred).
Experience with caching strategies and in-memory data technologies such as Redis or Memcached (preferred).
