As a Sr. Solutions Architect-Customer Systems, you will join the Digital team to design and oversee systems powering cloud-based support apps and tools for Apple products. You will own system design across a highly distributed, customer-facing platform where availability, latency, and data privacy are critical requirements. Your daily responsibilities include defining architecture across cross-functional teams, building strategic roadmaps, defining technical solutions for business problems, and creating technical user stories. What we're looking for
BS/MS in Computer Science or another technical field, or equivalent experience.
7+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on system design, technical architecture, or as a solution architect.
3+ years of experience in hands-on development or technical architect roles.
Experience designing and documenting engineering specifications for inter- and intra-system interactions including API contracts and data flow diagrams.
Experience designing and operating distributed systems at scale with high availability and fault tolerance.
Familiarity with modern backend stacks and data store technologies like Java, Go, Python, NoSQL, and relational databases.
Ability to translate product requirements into technical components and define system interfaces.
Proficiency in using performance monitoring tools to analyze opportunities for improvement.
