What you'll do

  • Deliver complete software solutions across all phases of the SDLC including design, implementation, testing, and operations.
  • Advise management on project-level issues and make independent technical decisions based on industry best practices.
  • Guide and mentor junior engineers by sharing software development processes and standards.
  • Collaborate with product managers to understand and refine technical requirements.
  • Participate in code and design reviews as a key voice in team-level processes.
  • Own the performance and availability of services and participate in on-call rotations for incident support.
  • Design and implement infrastructure for global-scale services using IaaS and PaaS solutions.
  • Manage infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.

What we're looking for

  • 3+ years of relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Bachelor’s and/or Master’s in computer science, or a related field of study, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with Python or an equivalent high-level programming language.
  • Advanced skills with RDBMS, NoSQL data stores, caching solutions, and messaging/queuing protocols like SQS, Kafka, or RabbitMQ.
  • Experience operating distributed applications 24x7x365 and designing infrastructure for global-scale services.
  • Hands-on experience with IaaS and PaaS solutions from AWS, including Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform and Ansible.
  • Hands-on experience with database operations including DynamoDB, Cassandra, MySQL, Aurora, and ElasticSearch.
  • AWS Solutions Architect certification (preferred).
