Senior Software Engineer, Additive Manufacturing

What you'll do

• Architect and develop software for production-scale metal 3D printing systems and supporting infrastructure.
• Develop production-ready control software and algorithms for lasing and machine control systems.
• Build software for data acquisition, in-situ monitoring, and automated analysis of manufacturing processes.
• Integrate software with motion and control systems in coordination with automation engineers.
• Collaborate with engine design and production teams to improve hardware outcomes through software and hardware changes.
• Maintain high software standards by performing rigorous design, code, and test reviews.
• Develop the core software infrastructure required to verify 3D printing manufacturing processes.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, or a STEM discipline.
• 5+ years of software development experience (or 8+ years of professional experience without a degree).
• 5+ years of experience writing production code in C++.
• Experience working in a Linux environment.
• Experience with modern continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) tools.
• Experience with libraries such as QT, VTK, Boost, CUDA, and tools like CMake.
• Experience with mechatronics, microcontrollers, FPGA computing hardware, or real-time embedded software development.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, national, lawful permanent resident, or eligible for required export control authorizations.
